Everything your curious mind seeks
-
What is mobile grooming and how does it work?Mobile grooming is precisely as it sounds. A professional stylist comes to your home and provides a luxurious pampering experience for your pup, all from the comfort of your driveway. Our spa on wheels has everything necessary to provide you a specialized service tailored to your furry friend's needs.
-
Why choose mobile grooming?Mobile Grooming offers a multitude of advantages when compared to the conventional "brick-and-mortar" salons, making it a preferred choice for pet owners seeking convenience, personalized attention, and a stress-free grooming environment. So take back your precious time! We look to eliminate the need to drive your beloved pet to those traditional salons, then waiting around for their turn at a haircut. We focus solely on your fur-babies, allowing us to build a trusting relationship with them without the interruption of other pets seeking attention. Your pup's comfort is our top priority.
-
What areas do you cover? The Prestigious Pup is based out Braselton, Georgia and covers roughly a 30 mile radius from there. We cater to customers as far out as Johns Creek to Commerce and everything in between.
-
How long does a typical appointment take?A normal grooming session (bath and haircut) generally takes about 1.5 - 2 hours. It will vary greatly depending on fur texture, fur length, and any special conditions such as anxiety or health concerns.
-
What services are included in your packages? We at The Prestigious Pup offer two main packages: "Full service" and "Mini-groom". Each of these services includes complementary nail clipping/grinding, ear cleaning/plucking, anal gland expression, a choice of bows/bandanas, and a spritz of doggy perfume/cologne. Our "Full Service" option allows you to select a haircut that suits your dog's style, whether it's a breed specific trim or a fun, energetic look to match their unique personality.
-
How do i schedule an appointment? For the quickest response, we highly recommend booking appointments by phone or text. Alternatively, you can also schedule appointments online through our "Services" page or via email.
-

Are your groomers certified or trained? Our groomers are BOTH certified and continuously trained to provide top-quality care for your pets. Our team of groomers have completed comprehensive training, including over 800 hours of hands-on instruction and safety certifications. During this training, they worked with a diverse range of 200 dogs of various breeds and sizes. Furthermore, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest safety and skill standards possible in the industry. As part of our commitment to ongoing education, our groomers attend professional development classes. These classes are conducted by industry experts at the Atlanta Pet Fair & Conference, which we attend annually. This ensures that our groomers stay updated with the latest techniques and continue to provide the best possible care for your furry companions.
-
What products do you use during grooming? We take great care in selecting the best products to ensure the well-being of your pets. For over two years, we have exclusively used Tropiclean products during our grooming sessions. We've found that Tropiclean offers exceptional results and versatility for a wide range of fur textures and skin conditions, making it an excellent choice for our clients. While we have a strong commitment to Tropiclean due to its proven track record, we are always open to exploring new products that may further enhance the grooming experience for your pup. Our priority is to provide the highest quality grooming, and we continuously evaluate and consider new products to maintain our personal commitment to excellence.
-
Do you groom cats as well?Unfortunately, no. We only specialize in dog grooming; however, we do offer nail trimming services for cats upon request. This additional service is $25.00, but don't worry if your kitty throws a fit and wants to quit—we wont charge you for it.
-
Should I be present during the grooming session? While we always welcome owners’ involvement in the grooming process, it’s important to note that some dogs can become anxious or behave differently when their owners are present. This change in behavior can sometimes make the grooming experience more challenging for both the pet and the groomer. Our primary concern is your pet’s well-being, and we aim to provide a calm and stress-free environment during grooming. If you have any concerns or specific requests regarding your presence, please let us know, and we’ll work together to ensure the best possible experience for your dog.
-
How often should I have my dog groomed? The frequency of grooming for dogs can vary depending on their coat type. Dogs with long, thick fur may need to be groomed every 4-6 weeks, while dogs with short or fine hair may only need to go every 8-12 weeks. Factors such as the dog’s activity level, outdoor exposure, and individual skin conditions can also influence how often grooming is necessary.
-
Can you handle anxious or aggressive dogs?Absolutely, we have plenty of experience working with various temperaments and behaviors. We prioritize the safety and well-being of all pets entrusted to us, and we take necessary precautions to ensure a calm and stress-free grooming experience. All that being said, it is a slow process, and we cannot guarantee a completed service. However, with patience and care, we hope to build trust and gently guide your pup towards a fun experience. PLEASE LET US KNOW! Please inform us in advance if this is the case with your pup so we can tailor our approach to best accommodate their needs.
-
What about dogs with special needs or medical conditions?Of course! we only need to be informed beforehand so we may tailor our service to accommodate their needs. We provide ample time for senior and mobility restricted pups, as well as provide treats designed for sensitive stomachs. Please inform us of any restrictions your babies might have.
